Many people think that the way in which you need to combat anger is to supress. However, this often makes the situation worse. This will cause you to bottle up your feelings. Reacting in an aggressive and violent manner can be exhausting and frustrating for the individual as well as those around them. Someone like this is very sensitive and defensive. They will react in a negative way without putting much through into what they are going to say.

There are different ways in dealing with the anger. Many people like to talk to the therapist in a one on one session. They find that they want to develop a sense of trust. This will help them to confide in him or her. However, group therapy is also something to consider. Role play, for example is included and this is a technique which helps one on a practical note.
