Why Does My Shoulder Hurt When I Lift My Arm

It is quite normal that most of the people around the globe will complain of having the shoulder pains. This is highly the case since the shoulder is connected to the arm and they are all involved in lot of movements. This make it not surprising when you hear of the numbers of people that suffer from the shoulder pains. You will realise that the shoulder has 16 soft tissues and another 3 bones. When these are involved in the movements, they will be prone to injuries. Keep reading to know more about the reasons why does my shoulder hurt when I lift my arm.

To begin with, there is the overuse factor. Is true to say that the shoulder will be involved in a lot of actions by end day. This way, the constant moving will cause the injuries in most the cases.

The movement of the shoulder cuffs and arm will get some stress and this may develop to the pains that you are experiencing. Well, they may be the inflammatory injuries or the degenerative one.

This way it is very wise that you go for the treatment that best suits the repair of the tissues.

In connection to this, the overuse of the arm will also cause some great friction. When talking of the friction, it will definitely cause some wear and tear to the muscles and tissues involved.

However, it is wise to ascertain the exact cause of the arm pain.

You can also include the tendon tears as another cause of the arm pains. Well, the tendon tears will arise from the wear and tear of the tissues in your shoulder. And when you high your arm, they will be stretched, and this will as a result cause some kind of pain. If not addressed this may graduate to some serious pain issue.

Impingement may also be another cause of the arm pains. Well, when you do have some injuries on the rotator cuffs, this may cause the shoulder pains. This can be caused by the overuse of the rotator cuffs or the friction. It may also be caused by a developing arthritis. Well, when this is the case, you have to make definite that you remedy the situation. When you ignore this, you may deal with a severe tendon tear in future.

Finally, arthritis will also be a cause of the shoulder pain. You will find that there are several types of the arthritis. However, the kind that affects the shoulder, is the wear and tear arthritis. This kind of arthritis will start with the minor injuries as a result of the wear and tear. Later on this gradually develops to be that big shoulder problem. And so, if you are not looking forward to dealing with some heavyweight shoulder problem, make sure you address that arthritis on its early stages.
